2/3 of Middle Class Families "Struggling" Financially, Fauci's Six Foot Covid Distance Rule "Made Up," Families Making $150K Struggling with Bills (The Five for 06/05/24)
Plus, the reason the Nashville Christian School shooter's manifesto was kept out of hte media has been revealed.
Hey, welcome to The Five.
A bit of an announcement…I just lost 8 lbs in 36 hours.
Unfortunately, it was due to a horrific stomach bug. As a result, episode 2 of the podcast will not drop until Friday.
With that being said, let’s get into the news.

Well, this week we learned that Dr. Anthony Fauci is one of the most prolific liars in American politics…and that’s saying something.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is testifying before Congress on Monday, says he essentially made up the six-foot social distancing rule in the early days of the Covid pandemic.
Just days before his appearance, Republicans put out a full transcript of a January interview with Dr. Fauci, who ran the federal response to the virus. Lawmakers are asking the doctor about the effectiveness of Covid restrictions he endorsed, which he noted did not significantly “slow the spread.”
Talking to counsel on behalf of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Dr. Fauci testified that the six-foot social distancing rule “sort of just appeared,” adding he doesn’t know its origin.
“You know, I don’t recall. It sort of just appeared,” he said, the Daily Mail reports. He added that he “was not aware of studies” that supported social distancing.
Dr. Fauci also told the committee’s counsel that he did not remember reading any research that supported the theory that masking children would help prevent the spread of Covid.
“Do you recall reviewing any studies or data supporting masking for children?” Dr. Fauci was asked. “I might have,” he said, adding “but I don’t recall specifically that I did.”

So…it was all fake. And those vaccines we were forced to get, or lose our jobs? (Myself included, regrettably). Those killed people.
Yahoo (pause for dramatic effect, YAHOO! is reporting this):
Covid vaccines could be partly to blame for the rise in excess deaths since the pandemic, scientists have suggested.
Researchers from The Netherlands analysed data from 47 Western countries and discovered there had been more than three million excess deaths since 2020, with the trend continuing despite the rollout of vaccines and containment measures.
They said the “unprecedented” figures “raised serious concerns” and called on governments to fully investigate the underlying causes, including possible vaccine harms.
Writing in the BMJ Public Health, the authors from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, said: “Although Covid-19 vaccines were provided to guard civilians from suffering morbidity and mortality by the Covid-19 virus, suspected adverse events have been documented as well.
“Both medical professionals and citizens have reported serious injuries and deaths following vaccination to various official databases in the Western World.”
The Five is a publication that exists to create reasonable, balanced reporting on the news, with a roughly equal split between readers on who lean to the political left and right, respectively. I’m not prone to extreme statements…but it’s now time to say that most of the COVID pandemic was fake.
The vaccines didn’t stop the spread of transmission.
Staying home didn’t work.
Kids missed out on learning.
There was no reason to stay six feet apart.
An untold number of people died by suicide or overdose in a “deaths of deapair” epidemic.
And it’s possible three million people are dead from the COVID vaccine.
Almost all of that damage was caused by the unresearched opinions of one man.
Horrifying.

The son of the President of the United States is being tried for allegedly lying about his drug addiction and illegally purchasing a gun, only to have his dead brother’s widow (who Hunter was banging) throw the pistol in a trash bin near a school.
And who’s fault is all this? According to MSNBC, it’s REPUBLICANS who did this:
It’s a gun charge. Understand that what the Republicans want to do is to allow everyone to buy guns everywhere, without having to tell the federal government anything.
They (Republican Gun Owners) are so totally opposed that the federal government gets to know anything about them and their gun purchases. They don’t believe in the law he’s being prosecuted under.
First off, black women are the fastest growing group of new gun buyers, and 94% of black women supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, so “Republican” does not mean “gun owners” and vice versa.
Secondly, there has not been any serious legislation brought forth to remove federal background checks, and it’s hard to imagine MNSNC seriously believes Republicans want a country where crack addicts can buy a gun.
Biden is standing trial in New Castle County at the courthouse in Wilmington, DE…which is Joe Biden’s hometown, where the elder Biden bested Trump 2-1 in 2020. This proves to be the total opposite of Trump’s trial as far as the jury pool goes…it’s hard to imagine a more sympathetic jury pool, unless Hunter was going on trial in front of a jury of his blood relatives.
But hey, you can buy a LOT of drugs for $141M, so maybe Hunter will be bummed if he gets off.
About that $141M…

Apparently the Democratic party forgot about the “Clinton bump” when the 42nd POTUS was impeached for having an affair with intern Monica Lewinksy, then enjoyed an INCREASE in public support.
DJT appears to be beneffiting from the same effect of sympathy.
Donald Trump ‘s campaign and the Republican National Committee say they raised $141 million in May, a massive fundraising haul that includes tens of millions of dollars raised in the aftermath of his guilty verdict in his criminal hush money trial.
Trump’s campaign is not required to publicly disclose its fundraising to the Federal Election Commission until later this month. But its decision to release the numbers early underscores how it sees the wave of contributions as evidence that last Thursday’s verdict has energized the former president’s supporters and as a sign that it will not hobble his efforts to return to the White House.
President Joe Biden’s campaign has yet to release its own May fundraising totals. Trump and the Republican Party reported raising $76 million in April, topping the more than $51 million reported by Biden and the Democratic National Committee that month for the first time.
It is unclear how much Trump and the GOP spent in May. But the sum could help them close the money gap with Biden that has persisted throughout the race.
Trump’s campaign said in a press release Monday that it had received more than two million donations in the month of May averaging $70.27. More than a third of that haul — 37.6% — came in the form of online contributions in the 24 hours after the verdict was announced, it said.
This is highly anecdotal, but I’ve seen a lot of users on Twitter talking about how they don’t even like Trump, and didn’t vote for him in the past, but just made a donation to his campaign.
Historians may look back one day soon and flag Trump’s felony conviction as one of the keys to swinging Moderates and Independents to vote for him.

A new poll from Bloomberg highlights just how much middle class families are suffering from the impact of inflation.
Almost two-thirds of Americans considered middle class said they are facing economic hardship and don’t anticipate a change for the rest of their lives, according to a poll commissioned by the National True Cost of Living Coalition.
By many traditional measures, the US economy is strong, with robust labor, housing and stock markets, as well as solid gross domestic product growth. But the data don’t capture the financial insecurity of millions of households who worry about their future and are unable to save, according to the group, created this year to come up with cost-of-living tools that help gauge economic well-being.
In the large poll of 2,500 adults, 65% of people who earn more than 200% of the federal poverty level — that’s at least $60,000 for a family of four, often considered middle class — said they are struggling financially.
A sizable share of higher-income Americans also feel financially insecure. The survey shows that a quarter of people making over five times the federal poverty level — an annual income of more than $150,000 for a family of four — worry about paying their bills.
The GDP only measures how well the country is doing overall, and the very rich tend to skew the numbers of how the average Joe and Jane are doing…if families making $150,000 are struggling to pay bills on time, that should tell you something about how dire average working-and-middle-class families are doing.

It turns out the manifesto the Trans-identified shooter who killed seven in a mass shooting at Covenant Christian School shooting in 2023 was held back due to orders from the FBI.
A newly revealed memo shows that the FBI told the Metro Nashville Police Department that the release of a school shooter’s writings could lead to “conspiracy theories” and “inaccurate information” in the weeks following fatal shootings at a Christian school in Nashville, according to a report from The Tennessee Star.
The memo, dated May 11, 2023, and recently obtained by The Star, was sent to Nashville Chief of Police John Drake after a transgender-identifying woman killed six people, including three children, at The Covenant School. It was also sent just days after Star News Digital Media, owner of The Tennessee Star, filed multiple lawsuits seeking the release of the killer’s writings, which have remained sealed both by Nashville police and the FBI.
While the memo does specifically mention The Covenant School shooting, it tells Drake that a mass shooter’s writings and other documents, referred to as “legacy tokens,” should not be released to the public. The memo came from the FBI’s Critical Incident Response Group in Quantico, Virginia.
This one is personal to me for a couple of reasons. The first is that I almost entered into a career in the FBI after being recruited, and I thank God daily I didn’t get wrapped up in an organization that’s made so many glaring errors (although I do know agents from my media days in Chicago who do incredible work). The second is that one of my college classmate’s kids were in that school, and survived the killing.
The FBI got involved for political reasons because the murderer was Trans-identified, full stop. Dating back to 1995, when serial killer Ted Kazinski’s manifesto was publish in both the Washtington Post and New York Times…dozens of mass killer manifestos have been released to the public. Seven people died, and the FBI had no right to interfere with the distribution of information to the public.
Until the next one,
